We Love Little Touch |
| My MIL got this for our 20 month old for Christmas, and he (and we) love it.
About the only thing I don't like is that you have to push the go button for each page to do its thing, but after that, it's all good! Our son loves to touch the page, anywhere on the page, whether it's the background for little musical riffs, or the characters, or objects for counting or singing. He says "la la la" in a little, highpitched voice when a word is sung! Very cute.

The padded lap pillow that attaches to the underside with velcro could have stronger, more industrial strength velcro to keep it on there when he drags it around by the handles, but mostly when we use it, it's in his lap, so it's usually no problem for him. He likes any of the modes it has: music only, words and music, or words, music and teaching lessons.

We need to get more books/cartridge sets, as it comes with only the one with the bear, as shown. Takes 4 AA batteries (not included); we use rechargeables, which helps save on battery costs.
Great teaching toy. Great price. |
Age 2 1/2 is perfect |
| My in-laws got this toy for my 10 month old for Christmas but my 2 1/2 year old has taken a liking to it. The pictures can be hard to touch sometimes, but for the most part he can get them to work. He doesn't quite understand that you have to touch the "go" circle for each page, but that is why I sit with him and help him. He's more into the activity cards that come with it, rather than the story. They teach him numbers, the alphabet, and shapes- all three of which he is very interested in learning right now. I think this is a great way to interact with books, especially for a 2 year old who isn't patient enough to sit through a story, let alone comprehend it. I think this is a decent buy since it is able to grow with your child. I wouldn't suggest introducing it if there isn't a strong interest in sitting still to interact. |
LOVE this toy!!! |
| Dont listen to all the negative people. This toy is made for a young toddler to play with with your help. Its a special time for me and my son together. He cant enjoy a real book on his own yet, he is only one, so of course he cant play this by himself yet!! We have incorporated this into our story time every night, and he just loves it! He gets so excited, we often dont get to finish the story because he is too busy pushing all the buttons! Which by the way are not hard to push at all. He is only a year old and he can push them perfectly fine. Over all, I HIGHLY recommend this toy for the interactive parent, and plan on purchasing more books to go with it. :) |
